About

This is an account of how I managed to survive a move to China for about 1 year for my position at a major multinational corporation.  These events happened and I have changed names as to protect people’s privacy.  Since June 2005, I have made about 20 trips to China.  While this may be “old news” in that it happened 5-6 years ago, there are some nuggets of insight as to how business is actually done in China.  It is far different that what you read in the general press.  I will try to present the stories with some humor (at least to a westerner), and lessons learned.

The name of the blog comes from an incident during my time in China.  You will have to wait until I post the details.  I plan on updating every few days or so, life allowing.

I am a PhD level Chemical Engineer with just about 25 years experience in the Chemical Process industries.  If it’s really important to you, you can see my LinkedIn profile for more information.
